Endras BMW enjoyed the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and I was able to drive a Z4 during the event – preeeeetty awesome! There were celebrities, paparazzi and tons of fans. But this roadster got just as much attention.
On my way home late one night, I stopped through a R.I.D.E checkpoint. I got a little nervous when I saw about a half a dozen police officers line up, shoulder-to-shoulder, at the side of the car. Until I realized that the cop talking to me, like all his colleagues, was too busy staring at the car. I zipped home, and realized the next morning that I had forgotten to put license plates on the car – but no one noticed because they were ogling the Z4!
I just picked up my own Z4, and driving it has become one of my favourite obsessions. There’s something about shifting in a roadster that just…makes your connection with the road more passionate.
You’re probably also driving with the top down in +5 degree weather…
Any excuse to use it. Though, it only retracts at 10km or less – so you’ve gotta just make sure you’re not lazy and ready to go before you leave the parking lot!
