BMW M6 Coupé Exterior
No matter which side the M6 Coupé displays, the sporting and elegant dynamics cast their spell on the beholder. The exciting front end with its deep front apron and large air intake vents surges on uncompromisingly. On the side sections the design draws on the perfect streamlining shape of the typical M mirror, the distinctive skirts and the athletic side air vents with indicators and the distinctive M signature. The muscular rear with four exhaust pipes and hexagonal diffuser underlines the vehicle's broad track width.
Dynamism in its most beautiful form.
BMW M6 Coupé Interior
The dynamic contours of the exterior are systematically continued in the interior. A white glow from the illuminated M6 Coupé entry sills adds a distinctive accent. The cockpit impresses with its perfected elegance and convincing display of highly developed functionality. The ergonomic M sports seats with adjustable backrest width make driving at the limit into a stylish pleasure. Luxurious Merino leather is a treat for both eyes and fingers. All colours and materials are carefully matched, adding decisive nuances to enrich driving pleasure further.
High revs, maximum power.
BMW M6 Coupé Engine
Even the lightest touch on the accelerator is enough for the engine to show its colossal power. Five litre capacity and 500hp produce a performance potential typically found in motor racing. Maximum revs reach an impressive figure of 7,750rpm, with the engine breathing powerfully through ten throttle valves. In combination with the double-Vanos camshaft control system it responds without hesitation. The high-performance electronics system with ion stream knock control enables the engine's potential to be fully exploited at high revs.
Lightweight construction for maximum dynamics.
The M6 Coupé roof consists of several layers of carbon (CFRP). As a high-tech lightweight construction element it emphasizes the unique elegance of this gran turismo Coupé. What is more, the highly compressed carbon is significantly lighter than conventional steel. Use of a lighter roof lowers the centre of gravity in the M6 and increases driving dynamics. The benefits for the driver are higher speeds in curves and extremely precise roadholding.
Active and athletic.
The driver can choose between using paddles on the steering wheel or the shift lever on the central console to operate the seven-speed SMG Drivelogic which allows for extremely fast gear changes without having to reduce speed, decrease engine power or use a clutch. Maximum acceleration is made possible by Launch Control, which uses the optimum range of revs to shift through the gears automatically.
Based on precision.
The exceptionally sturdy bodyshell and high proportion of aluminum components provide the foundation for the supreme sporting performance of the BMW M6 Coupé. The even distribution of weight between the front and rear axles maintains maximum traction for all wheels to ensure optimum performance. Using the Electronic Damper Control (EDC), the driver can vary the suspension characteristics between sporting and comfortable control.
